Why we use tungsten carbide in woodworking?

Tools are used for cutting in the field of mechanical manufacturing. Tools used to cut wood are usually called woodworking tools.
When a wood processing plant or furniture manufacturer uses the same mechanical equipment to process products, the cutting quality and processing efficiency will be different if the tools are different. In other words, the performance of the tool greatly affects the production process of wood products and the quality of the final product.

High-quality cutting tools should have at least the following characteristics: high hardness, good wear resistance, high strength and toughness, ability to withstand high cutting temperatures, good oxidation resistance, good process performance and good grinding performance.

Cemented carbide, whose application scope is second only to high-speed steel, has a series of excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., especially its high hardness and wear resistance, which remain basically unchanged even at a temperature of 500°C, and still have a high hardness at 1000°C. Tools made of cemented carbide are widely used in various lathe tools or drill bits.
